SSC Associates Training
Welcome to SSC Associates, the UK's most elite program designed to elevate the country's most advanced talent and champion diversity. SSC Associates is a once a month intensive training program offering professional standard training in Jazz, Contemporary, Audition Technique, Commercial and Technique under the carful mentorship of SSCA Director, Sam Stanley. We have two courses on offer - SSC Associates Elite Juniors and SSC Associates Elite Seniors. Students can only be offered a place via self tape audition to ensure only the best can be placed on the program. Structure of your training day
Warm Up - Getting the body warm and ready for a physically demanding day.
Strengthen & Alignment - It is incredibly important to ensure all dancers are strong and correctly aligned. This helps dancers have a deeper understanding of how the body works, understand how to prevent injuries and gain the muscle memory of correct placement. With the help of resistant bands and stretch blocks, all associates will be taken through a carefully designed course of strengthening and alignment exercises to train the body correctly and safely.
Technique Masterclass - We explore centre practice and adage for strength and placement, traveling combinations across the floor to work on kicks, turns and leaps and gain a deeper understanding how to link our strengthen and alignment to our combinations. We also explore what muscles need to be activated, how to improve what we are currently doing and develop our repertoire of advance movement.
Jazz Audition Technique (mock audition) - This session is designed to work on pick up of material, style, musicality and performance. Audition technique is a skill of it's own and even the best dancers in the world can under perform if their audition technique is not at its best. We look into how to respond and work with the choreographer and audition panel and understand how to meet the requirements needed for that particular audition.
Contemporary Choreography - A class that dives deeply into storytelling, movement quality, contemporary technique and improvisation.
Commercial Choreography - A class that focuses on dynamic use, performance and stage presence, attention to detail and improvisation.
Cool Down - Brining the body back to its natural state.

Videography
SSC Associates are proud to offer an on site videographer and photographer to film small groups and solos during training days. This helps build students repertoire of footage for auditions, castings, self tapes, jobs, college/university applications, agent representation and to help build online presence.
End of season concept and presentation
SSC Associates are always trying to advance the training and experiences of the associates. We are very proud to offer a end of season concept video for the students when the come to the end of their season. SSCA Director Sam Stanley, creates a piece for the students to go into production and filming on the last training day of the season. This is a wonderful experiance for the students to learn how to be on set, work in videography and get to keep the media for a keep sake to remember that particular season. Friends and family are also invited to watch this performance and join us for an awards ceremony to celebrate the completion of the season.
